I’m not very happy with this single. I honestly think it deserved to stay as a B side for Fifa 17. It’s Beck’s weakest song ever by far, and doesn’t impress me at all. It’s just a bland, dance-pop song that really doesn’t have many redeeming quality bar the music video, which is a lot better than the song. I’m sad, because Dear Life, the previous single, is up there with Debra as one of my favourite Beck songs. This one’s just way too mainstream sounding to convince me it’s a beck song, because Beck for me has always been kind of experimental. This is not new or experimental. This is just another trashy, bland pop song.

I agree that it’s not the edgy, experimental music we’ve come to expect from Beck, and that it’s basically a catchy, rather generic dance-pop track, but I don’t dislike it as much as you.
