February 2018: A playlist

These first couple tracks have been released this month

1. Moon River – Frank Ocean

This is a great song. Nuff’ said. Go listen to it

2. Make me feel – Janelle Morae

Very Prince inspired, but still original, this new Janelle Morae track is her best since Locked Inside From ArchAndroid. Go check it out

3. Mr. Tillman – Father John Misty

While this new Father John Misty track may not reach the heights of Pure Comedy, it’s still ridiculously funny and ridiculous. If you liked Fear Fun or I love You, Honeybear, you’ll definitely like this.

4. 44 More – Logic

Fire.

5. Sweet Cheeks – Raf Rundell

This is like what everyone said when they discovered Rag and Bone Man. Except he’s good and damn funky.

6. After The Storm – Kali Uchis (ft. Bootsy Collins and Tyler, The Creator

I know I’ve already said this like 3 times this year, but I’ve found the best song of the year.

7. I am – Jorja Smith

This is definitely the best track off of the Black Panther Soundtrack. the guitar line is great and the vocals are absolutely amazing. It’s not really hip hop (that much) more like kinda dark, slow pop. Anywho, great song

8. Count It Up – Field Music

This song is really cool and is all about appreciating your privilege and stuff so I like it cause’ I’m a big leftie.

Now for some other songs:

9. Grant Green – Mr Jukes (ft. Charles Bradley)

This is the most banging song. I know that’s a weird thing to say about a soul / RnB song, but it just is. If that kind of music is your jam, definitely go listen to it

10. All is known – King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard

This is by far my favourite King Gizzard song. With the up and down chromatic thing at the beginning and the perfect combination of catchiness, break neck pace and great instrumentals, it is absolutely amazing. Definitely go listen to it.

11. Untitled 06 06.30.2014 – Kendrick Lamar

This one’s off of Untitled Unmastered, which is probably the best B-Sides album I’ve heard so far. This particular song is so weirdly catchy, especially with the “I can’t explain” vocal on top. It’s very TPAB esque, and in my opinion it should have definitely made it on to the final track listing for TPAB

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
