Random spewing of thoughts #30: My life, Hip Hop and Monday

It’s so easy to make a post ranting about Monday right now. But I don’t want to do it, because not only has that post been written a million times, I have written that post a million. I mean, if you look at my old Random Spewing Of Thoughts, they are pretty much all complaining about school and Monday, or when I don’t want to complain about Monday, I make really terrible posts like Muffin Monday. I don’t mean the story, I actually liked the story, it was just that original post where I literally talked about eating a muffin for an entire post. Just saying that sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it.

Anyway, over the weekend I listened to some good hip-hop. Here’s what I recommend right now:

1. Xxxtentacion – I spoke to the devil in Miami, and he told me everything would be fine

I didn’t like XXX until this song. I loved this so I tried 17 and found loads of great songs like Revenge, Jocelyn Flores and Depression And Obsession. I would not recommend this to everyone, cause’ a lot of it’s really dark, but if you’re into that stuff, I recommend those songs.

2. Kendrick Lamar – FEEL.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of DAMN. i must admit. It did feel a little all over the place and the songs didn’t have much staying power for me. However, I absolutely love HUMBLE. and FEEL. and I listen to them as much as other songs like I, Alright and Swimming Pools

3. Jay-Z – The Story Of OJ

I love 4:44 so much. What can I say?

4. Eminem – Infinite

I don’t really like Eminem anymore. His recent material like that freestyle and that TERRIBLE Walk on water song has just made me turn away. However, Eminem’s debut album Infinite is too good. It’s a lo-fi masterpiece with songs like the title track, 313 and It’s Ok. It’s one of the best hip hop albums of the 90’s definitely, but besides this song it’s very hard to find.

Anyway, that’s my recommendations for today.

The reason why I didn’t post on the weekend is mainly to do with doing concerts and homework, but to be honest, it’s a little bit just because of my laziness. I had some great Donald Trump / Kim Jong Un Street Art ready but I didn’t bother to post it for some reason. I shouldn’t go away for a while though, because I can just schedule that it if I can’t post or just can’t think of anything to write.

As for posts coming up? Obviously that one I just talked about, maybe a post on how the economic theory that is used to denounce communism is biased in favour of capitalism, or maybe another film essay. Dunno.
