1. Walk On The Wild Side – Lou Reed
I’ve been listening to this song non-stop for the past few days. It’s so catchy, but at the same time it’s a brilliant song. Definitely worth a listen.
2. This is home – Cavetown
This one’s quite different from the rest of these songs. It’s a lot more quiet than the rest of them, and it’s more of a simple ukelele song, but the lyrics are really powerul. I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone, but if you’re into that lind of thing, it’s great.
3. How to dissapear completely – Radiohead
I found this one just this morning. It’s from my joint favourite radiohead album, Kid A and it’s absolutely amazing. You have to give it a try.
4. Jesus Alone – Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds
I’ve included this song in a lot of my playlists, but that’s because it’s such a masterpiece. It gives me the chills when I listen to it.
5. Emily’s Heart – Jamie T
This one might not be consodered a masterpiece, but it’s still a really good ballad-y song that is better than most. Definitely worth trying for indie fans.
6. Blackstar – David Bowie
This is my favourite song on this playlist. It may be a bit long for some people, and it is really heavy hittinf, but you MUST listen to this song, and then the whole album.
7. Exit Music (for a film) – Radiohead
This final one is probably my favourite Radiohead song, and it’s off my other joint favourite Radiohead album, OK Computer. This one is incredibly theatrical, and it’s a breathtaking song.
Anyway, have a listen to these!
