This is the best soundtrack I’ve heard in a long time and if this soundtrack is any indication, Edgar Wright is not only a fantastic director, he’s also got an impeccable music taste. Before I listened to the soundtrack, I knew none of the 29 tracks. Now they are all some of my favourite songs. This compilation features everything from Dave Brubeck to The John Spencer Blues Explosion. It’s also very original in the fact that they reworked or did covers of some of the songs for the movie, which is unique. And you might say, “But what if I don’t like the cover?”. Well, they include both versions! My only gripe with the vinyl is that it didn’t come on pink vinyl, but I’m just nitpicking. Speaking of the vinyl, the inner sleeves are amazing, with a story about how the movie was conceived and some pictures from the set.
