So, the new Fall Out Boy track.
Sighhhhhhhh…
I wasn’t expecting much but really. The instrumentation is one looped guitar riff, which makes you focus on the lyrics, which, to be completely honest, are terrible. So now, the lyrics with my running commentary in the background.
[Intro]
Champion, champion
Who’s this so called champion, Patrick?
[Verse 1]
I’m calling you from the future
To let you know we made mistakes
A bit cheesy but would you please explain what the mistakes were.
And there’s a far gone past that’s giving me, giving me such a headache
Patrick, what the blazes are you talking about?
And I’m back with the madness
Yes madness. Madness that you thought this song was a good idea.
I’m a champion of the people who don’t believe in champions
I’m sorry, how is this different from immortals? I mean, at least immortals actually sounds good.
I got nothing but dreams inside, I got nothing but dreams
My god, stop being SO VAGUE.
[Pre-Chorus]
I’m just young enough to still believe, still believe
Believe in what?
But young enough not to know what to believe in
First of all, that makes no sense and second of all, that’s just lazy songwriting
Young enough not to know what to believe in, yeah
[Chorus]
If I can live through this
Live through what?
If I can live through this
Live through-
If I can live through this
LIVE THROUGH WHAT?
I can do anything
If I can live through this
What.
If I can live through this
Is.
If I can live through this
Happening.
I can do anything
You’re just going to leave it there?
I think that pretty much shows you how I feel about this song. Nothing about this song is actually good, and why it may not be as bad as some songs, I ‘m going to give this song a big, fat, spanking 1 out of 10 (I’m only giving it a one because it’s still better than Young and Menace).
Rating: 1/10
Funny review.
